Something New

It’s been a while since I’ve published any of my ramblings.

I’ve started writing a genre I swore I’d never write — romance.

Gone_with_the_wind_kissThe first romance novella I’ve written is a ┬áChristmas sweet romance with a pet that will appear in a box set with other romance authors. The box set will be released in September. I’m excited about it.

In the mean time I’m writing another romance with a wine theme for another box set that will be coming out in 2016. I’ll also be writing another romance novella for another box set whose theme is time travel. For this last romance I’ll be doing more research into the Regency Era, one of my favorite time periods.

As always, I’m having problems with marketing and the fact I don’t devote enough time to it is reflected on my sales.

Two different thoughts run in the Indie world, one, spend half the time marketing the other writing. Two, the more books you have published the more visible your name becomes, so spend all time writing new material. Is there a balance between the two thoughts and does it work?

With my in-home-daycare I don’t have much time for writing let alone marketing, and I feel caught within a place offering no escape. I have another website, which I’ve literally abandoned for lack of time, diminishing my readership. Alas! there is no winning for me.

If you are reading my ramblings do let me know what genre you enjoy reading and why and what you would like to see more of on my blog.

Thank you for stopping by.

About Annamaria

Although born in the United States, Annamaria Bazzi spent a great deal of her childhood in Sicily, Italy, in a town called Sciacca. Italian was the language spoken at home.
