Writing Status

It’s been a while since I’ve paid any attention to my blog. Pity indeed! With so little time I struggle, prioritizing my writing as number one while everything else, blog, website, etc., fall behind.

Several projects keep me busy in the writing part of my world. Two important projects involve writing novellas for box sets, Christmas Pets & Kisses 2 and Romancing the Wine. In the later part of the year I’ll have two more due themed: historical/time travel and a multicultural box set. Time is tight.

While editing the novella for Romancing the Wine I’m writing the one for Christmas Pets & Kisses 2. But that’s not all I’m also working an another romance novel I want to submit for traditional publishing.

One of the things I still struggle with is letting my readers inside my characters’ thoughts and feelings. I’m still falling in the trap of ‘if I know it, they know it’ a very unconscious mindset while writing yet very dangerous for the development of the character and overall storyline.

Round Table Log

For this blog, I’m struggling trying to keep the Round Table Chats alive, but I never seem to have¬†enough time to find interesting authors to be my guests. And if I did, would I have the time to interview them? I’m trapped in a revolving loop unsure of how to break it. If only we had 72 hour days!

Needless to say, I’ve had not time to dwell on my historical ramblings. Because of time restrictions, I haven’t been able to continue my research into the discovery of where the Egyptians came from. What ancient civilization converged on the banks of the Nile to create such an amazing people? For now such discoveries must wait. Hopefully, I’ll be able to figure out how to manage my time to get enough writing done and be able to spend some time on research.
